Yale Undergraduate Research Conference (YURC)
Since its establishment in 2015, the Yale Undergraduate Research Conference (YURC) has served as a platform for undergraduates to present their work, listen to world-renowned leaders in research, and connect with one another to form an enriching research community across diverse fields of study. We hope to highlight the unique methods of presenting research in Engineering, Social Sciences, Medicine, Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, and Humanities.
Yale Undergraduate Research Journal (YURJ)
The Yale Undergraduate Research Journal was established in the spring of 2020 and is the first reviewed publication to span the disciplinary breadth of research conducted by Yale students. Twice a year, YURJ publishes recent work from the Humanities, Social Sciences, and STEM fields online and in print.
Research Database (RDB)
The Research Database (RDB) is a comprehensive resource for undergraduates to find research opportunities. RDB features 1400+ faculty listings across 60+ fields of study, including the humanities, social sciences, and STEM.
Graduate-Undergraduate Mentorship Initiative (GUMI)
The mission of Yale Graduate-Undergraduate Mentorship Initiative is to promote research accessibility as well as bridge the gap between all students of interdisciplinary fields to form lasting and meaningful mentorship connections.
This year, we are particularly focused on reviving our mentorship program connecting graduate schools from all Yale departments, School of Environment, School of Medicine, Law School, School of Management, and more. No research experience necessary to apply!
Committee of Community Outreach (COCO)
The Community Outreach Committee is dedicated to being the glue of YURA, ensuring that the community at large is able to know & grow with each other, given the specializations of each subcommittee.
More importantly, we are involved in designing and teaching research-centered classes to East Coast high school and middle schools with a partner organization, Yale Splash. Join us if you are interested in making research accessible to all, no matter age, background, or interest!
